Meet our Providers

 GYNECOLOGY

Peter E. Fern, MD FACOG

Dr. Fern, MD is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon in 1977 and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Naval Regional Medical Center Oakland through the University of California San Francisco in 1981. He is a multiple year Spokane’s Best 100 Doctors recipient. Dr. Fern is serious about golf and devoted to his family. He is a clinical professor for the University of Washington’s Medical School.

OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY

Jeffrey L. Hilton, MD, FACOG

Dr. Hilton is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of Iowa in 2002. He completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University in 2005 and served as chief resident in 2006. Dr. Hilton in bilingual in Spanish and English. He is the practice’s much appreciated computer guru. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor recreational and sports activities and time with his family.

Kathryn M. Miles, MD, FACOG

Dr. Miles is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from the University of Washington Medical School in 2006. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester in New York in 2010. While providing comprehensive OB/GYN services, Dr. Miles particularly enjoys providing education and care to adolescents and young women. She is an avid reader and loves the outdoors and spending time with her family

Dr Pac (1) (2)Dr. Pakkianathan (Dr. Pakk), MD, FACOG

Dr. Pakkianathan (Dr. Pakk) is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was born and raised in Maryland.  He graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2007 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2011.  He provides a complete array of OB and GYN services for women of all ages and is current in women’s health care technologies including the DaVinci robot and minimally invasive procedures.  He is an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.  Dr. Pakk also enjoys playing ice hockey and spending time with family.  He and his wife, a Spokane native, look forward to raising their children in Spokane.

Daniel J. Zwiesler, MD, FACOG

Dr. Zwiesler is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 2004. He completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma at Tulsa in 2008. Dr. Zwiesler provides a full range of obstetrical and gynecological services. He grew up in Yakima, Washington. He enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities, including running marathons, and spending time with family and friends. He is a Clinical instructor in the Department of OB/GYN at the University of Washington.

Dawn Kopp, MD

Dr. Dawn Kopp joined Northwest OB/GYN in August 2016. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her MD at the George Washington University in Washington, DC and her MPH at Johns Hopkins University. She completed her residency at University of Washington in 2014. Dr. Kopp spent two years in Malawi (sub-Saharan Africa) completing a fellowship in global women’s health with the University of North Carolina. She believes in partnering with patients to help them make informed decisions about their health that takes into account their beliefs and value systems. She enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and reading a good book.

 

 UROGYNECOLOGY

Dr. Hammil is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from Creighton University Medical School in 2004 and completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2008. Following this, Dr. Hammil completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of New Mexico in 2011. She provides comprehensive care for women with incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Dr. Hammil is a native to Spokane and enjoys spending time outdoors, running and mountain biking – and sharing time with family and friends.

 

Linda M. Partoll, MD, FACOG, FPMRS

Dr. Partoll is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1987 She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1991 and completed her Fellowship in Urogynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Illinois in 1993.Dr. Partoll is a clinical professor for the University of Washington’s Medical School. She is a Chicago Cubs fan (sigh) and busy mom. She especially enjoys the outdoors in the great Northwest and can often be spotted at local sporting events.

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIVES

Mahshid AghasadeghiMahshid Aghasadeghi

Mahshid will be joining our nurse midwifery team in October 2016.  She is a highly respected 2016 graduate from the Seattle University nurse midwifery program and is passionate about quality care provided in a supportive and caring environment. She and her husband are looking forward to making Spokane their home and community for many years.

Lisa Larkin, DNP, CNM, ARNP

Lisa earned her undergraduate nursing degree from University of Washington’s College of Nursing and her doctorate in nursing practice in Nurse-Midwifery from the University of Washington. Lisa is accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She enjoys incorporating her experience with complementary and alternative modalities with woman-centered Midwifery care. Lisa has been a  Licensed Massage Therapist, birth and postpartum Doula, and a Yoga Instructor.  In her free time she loves to spend time outdoors adventuring with her family.

Kelly moved to Spokane after earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Washington in 2015 and is accredited by the American College of Nurse Midwives. She is a Texas native, loves traveling and spending time with friends and family.

“I instantly fell in love with birth and the strength of women working as a labor and delivery nurse. I treasure working to support natural childbirth and empowering women through the transformative experience of birth. I believe everyone deserves evidence-based information and options in order to guide their pregnancy and birth experience. Midwifery allows me to continue the work I love surrounding pregnancy and childbirth while also providing holistic care to women throughout their lifetime. I can’t think of a more rewarding path and feel honored and privileged that I’ve been led here.”

ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONERS

Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University Intercollegiate College of Nursing in1985 and her Master’s in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Washington State School of Nursing in 2000.She received the Nurse Practitioner Preceptor of the Year award in 2005 and is a clinical faculty member with Intercollegiate Center of Nursing.Susan has traveled to Central America with her students on medical missions on multiple occasions.She is active in Spokane’s Free Restaurant for Women and Children and enjoys such outdoor activities as running, cross country skiing and is devoted to her family.

 Brianne OzakiBrianne Ozaki, ARNP

Brianne Ozaki, ARNP, has many years experience in OB-GYN, having worked for several years as a labor and delivery nurse before going back to school for an advanced degree. Brianne has a open warmth that helps her patients feel comfortable at all times and a true avocation to help women during all phases of their OB-GYN care. She graduated from Washington State University’s ARNP program and is a Northwest native. She enjoys time with her family, including her four legged family, and exploring the Northwestern states.

Jennifer Julian, ARNP

Jennifer (Jen) Julian  had multiple years as an RN before balancing additional schooling, family and community vocations and becoming an Advanced Registered Nurse Practicioner (ARNP) through the University of Cincinnati – and devoting herself to women’s healthcare.   Jen is noted by patients and our office for her excellent clinical  skills and her natural kindness and good communication with patients of all ages and conditions.  Jen’s non-work priorities are her children and husband.  Her undergraduate degree is from WSU and she is a big Cougar fan –  but is also happy to see UW Husky patients
