We are excited to be hosting an event especially for women interested in learning more about this treatment.  This fun and informational event, complete with refreshments, discounts and door prizes will be held in our suite 6025 on Thursday, March 23rd, from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Please call our office at 509-455-5050 to learn more and to register for this night.

What is the MonaLisa Touch Laser Treatment?

It is an FDA approved non hormonal treatment for vaginal dryness and related symptoms such as painful intercourse and other related quality of life conditions.

Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Women who have concerns about risks associated with hormonal creams or pills and  women who are tired of the messes with creams and gels, or do not like to have to remember to take pills are often interested in the MonaLisa Touch Laser treatments.  Women whom have an increased cancer risk or are breast cancer survivors are also often interested in the MonaLisa Touch laser treatment as an alternative to hormonal treatments.

What is involved?

The course of treatment involves three office visits, each about 6 weeks apart and each of which is progressively increased with dosage.  Each visit starts with a quick visit with your physician whom will perform the laser treatment to ensure you are a good candidate, the signing of consents, and then an application of a short acting topical anesthetic cream.  Within a couple minutes, the laser will be gently placed in your vagina and the laser treatment will begin and be completed in approximately 5 minutes.  Our own treated staff have assured us that this is truly  quick and painless.  You will be given follow up instructions which are short term and compatible with most women’s lives.

Do I have to come to you for my regular GYN care?

We are pleased to offer this unique treatment service to women throughout the Inland Northwest whether you are our “regular” OB, GYN or Urogynecology patient or not.  We respect your relationship with your regular OB-GYN and primary care physician(s).

What about the cost/payment for this?

Currently this treatment is not covered insurances.  You must self pay in advance before receiving treatment services and will be required to sign a form acknowledging this at the time you are scheduled for services.
